New publication from the lab!
“Tissue-scale mapping reveals a central role of hepatoblasts in the regulation of fetal liver hematopoiesis and stem cell maintenance”
Anjali and colleagues showed that transient, hepatoblast-dominated niches in the fetal liver provide strong, KIT ligand-mediated support for hematopoietic stem cell expansion, and that niche remodeling as hepatoblasts differentiate rapidly shuts down this support and coincides with HSC departure to emerging bone marrow sites.

New research collaboration established with IRCMS, Kumamoto
Hosted by Prof. Hitoshi Takizawa, César visited International Research Center for Medical Sciences in Kumamoto with an invitational fellowship from the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science. During this time he participated in many scientific activities and gave a talk at the Joint Meeting between JSPS and National University of Singapore “New Horizons in normal and malignant stem cell research”
